Corrosion Control

Since 2006, the Midi Enterprises Corrosion Program Division (MEC Services and sister company MEC Energy Services) has been a leader in corrosion prevention and control policy development, materials test and evaluation, corrosion-related technology transition, and corrosion program support.

 

Our team is comprised of top-notch personnel including materials and mechanical engineers; corrosion program analysts; and corrosion program management Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); all equipped to resolve corrosion or other material degradation issues involving aerospace equipment, mobile or fixed communications and electronics equipment, aircraft ground support equipment, or infrastructure.

 

For nearly two decades, our team has provided the U.S. Air Force’s C-130 Tactical and Special Operations Forces with outstanding Corrosion Prevention and Control Engineering and Technical Program Management support.

 

Our team has served several government clients including: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, the Air Force Corrosion Program Office, and U.S. Air Force heavy-lift and rotary-wing aircraft System Program Offices.

Our Contract Efforts

  • Under the Midi Enterprises Corrosion Program Division, MEC Energy Services LLC continues to support the C-130 Corrosion Prevention and Control Programs (CPCP) for the U.S. Air Force, as they have since 2007.
  • We have set the highest standards for other Air Force weapon system platforms to follow.
  • Our capabilities include:
    • Plan, program, and lead the C-130 Corrosion Prevention Advisory Board working groups and other technical interchange meetings covering Tactical and Special Operations C-130 aircraft.
    • Conduct aircraft Corrosion Program surveys and organizational assessments worldwide to determine the effectiveness of a specified unit’s existing corrosion program.
    • Provide specific aircraft platform CPCP planning and program development.
    • Facilitate organizational and depot-level corrosion-related material field tests, evaluations, and integration plans and programs.
    • Provide technical and engineering support for the C-130 hexavalent chrome-free coating systems demonstration and validation test development and material evaluations.
    • Assist in transitioning innovative corrosion prevention and control materials and processes into mainstream maintenance activities.
    • Provide SME support in identifying, demonstrating, validating, and integrating innovative corrosion-preventive materials and processes on continually aging aircraft fleets.
